The Greater St. Louis Association of Black Journalists (GSLABJ) is a nonprofit that has served journalists, students and the community for over 40 years.
The GSLABJ is an affiliate of the National Association of Black Journalists -- an organization advocating on behalf of Black Journalists and media professionals in the United States and worldwide.
The Greater St. Louis Association of Black Journalists aims to empower Black journalists and media professionals. We critique local media coverage and practices, train journalists, award scholarships to aspiring journalists, honor trailblazing media and communications professionals and advocate for the advancement of Black media and fair portrayal of Black people. The organization also holds programs, fundraisers, meetings, workshops and free social events annually for our members and the St. Louis community.
